The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company wishes to acknowledge the “2009 Top Incident Responders.” These volunteer firefighters have devoted many hours of their personal time to the communities that encompass the Indian River fire district. Please join me in recognizing the following members: #1 – Harry Dawson with 99% of the incident responses – 375 alarms; #2 – James R. Wagner with 95% of the incident responses – 360 alarms; #3 – David Blumenthal with 80% of the incident responses – 303 alarms; #4 – Hayden Klingler with 72% of the incident responses – 272 alarms; #5 – Steven C. Deery, Jr. with 64% of the incident responses – 244 alarms; #6 – Derrick M. Pry with 59% of the incident responses – 225 alarms; #7 – Clarence “Jim” Becker with 57% of the incident responses – 215 alarms; #8 – Brian Morley with 56% of the incident responses – 212 alarms; #9 – John W. Swithenbank, III with 55 % of the incident responses – 208 alarms; #10 – Steven R. Hawkins with 53% of the incident responses – 199 alarms; #11(a) – Jason M.
