Tuesday December, 1 2009 @ 10:54:36 Nature: Structure Fire Address: 32332 Robin Hood Loop Millsboro, DE 19966 On Tuesday, December 1st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a structure fire at 32332 Robin Hood Loop in the Sherwood Forest Development off of John J. Williams Highway. Upon arrival of emergency response units, it was determined to be a malfunctioning heating ventilation and air conditioning system that caused a heavy black smoke condition on the exterior of the residence and activated the smoke detectors within the interior of the residence. The malfunction HVAC system sprayed heavy black soot onto the exterior siding of the residential structure and emitted puffs of black smoke. The residential structure was ventilated and evaluated for any additional concerns. The residential owner was notified to contact a HVAC repair entity. All emergency response units were downgraded to units on scene.
