Saturday October, 24 2009 Nature: Traffic / Transportation Acdnt BLS Address: Long Neck Road & School Lane Millsboro, DE 19966 On Saturday afternoon, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a two vehicle collision at or near the intersection of Long Neck Road, School Lane and Banks Road. It was reported that two vehicles collided and there were vehicle occupant injuries. Apparently, a blue 4 door sedan was traveling on Long Neck and collided with a black Ford F150 Pick-up. The pick-up sustained extremely minor vehicle damage (front end grill, bumper, hood and headlight indentations); however, the 4-door sedan sustained signification damage after colliding with pick-up, nearby trees, fencing and other obstacles in the path. The vehicle came to rest in the Baywoods Green landscaping at this intersection. Engine #80-5 emergency response crew was assigned to coordinate vehicle stabilization and evaluate patient care concerns. The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident. The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
