Monday September, 28 2009 @ 16:02:55 Nature: Electrical Hazard Address: (County Road #298) Banks Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Monday afternoon at 4:02 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an electrical hazard on Banks Road just east of Station #2. Engine #80-3 responded to the specific location to find a couple of trees had fallen across the roadway with potential impact to various overhead electrical wiring. The Apparatus Officer coordinated the removal of the tree and related debris by utilizing chain saws to cut the trees in management pieces for potential relocation. The Delaware State Police were on hand for traffic control measures due to the fact that Banks Road was closed for the duration of the tree removal exercise. The roadway was cleared of the fallen debris and the traffic flow patterns reverted back to normal with 15 minutes of the incident.
