Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Friday, May 11, 2018, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Banks Road in the vicinity of Winding Creek Village.

Emergency response from Indian River included Engine #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility, Incident Command 80 and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assist with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control, and incident mitigation activities.

It appears that a white utility box truck was traveling on Banks Road and left the roadway traveling through a grassy area and striking a tree.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
