Saturday May, 30 2009 @ 23:18:08 Nature: Traffic/Transportation Acdnt ALS Location: Baywoods Development Address: 32385 Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Saturday evening, May 30th at approximately 11:18 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle collision on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Baywoods. Emergency response personnel immediately identified the incident to be located at the intersection of Banks Road and John J. Williams Highway where apparently a white Ford Pickup was traveling east on John J. Williams Highway and left the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle ran off the roadway, straddled a drainage ditch and overturned. Emergency response personnel were required to initiate vehicle stabilization, coordinate traffic control, and assist with the coordination of patient care, packaging and preparation for transportation to nearby medical facilities. The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic patterns on John J. Williams Highway with restricted traffic to one lane during the duration of the incident. The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
