The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is mourning the loss of Georgetown Fire Company’s Life Member and Past President – Ira W. Hitchens

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company wishes to offer its condolences and deepest gratitude to the families and loved ones of Ira Hitchens.  We wish to offer the Hitchens Family our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Ira’s tenure with the volunteer fire service allowed him to serve and assist in a number of capacities.

Full Fireman's Funeral

Location: Short's Funeral Home, E. Market St, Georgetown

Viewing: Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 7pm to 9pm

Service: Friday, April 20, 2018 at 1pm

Interment: Union Cemetery, E Adams St, Georgetown
