Nature: Traffic Control Assignment

Location:  John J. Williams Highway

Address:  Millsboro

On Monday morning, April 16th, the Delaware State Fire Police assigned to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company were alerted to assist the Delaware State Police and the Delaware Department of Transportation with traffic control on John J. Williams Highway between Long Neck Road and Holly Lake.

It appears as a result of the passing inclement weather and heavy rains numerous trees have fallen across roadways and utility wires.  One specific area of concern was John J. Williams Highway between Banks Road and Holly Lake Road when a large tree fell across the roadway causing damage to s passing vehicle.  This segment of John J. Williams was closed for numerous hours pending the removal of the tree and related debris.

Upon removal of the tree and debris, this segment of John J. Williams Highway was reopened.
