Wednesday April, 15 2009 @ 19:50:42 Nature: Structure Fire Address: 26294 Creekwood Circle, Pot Nets Creekside, Millsboro, DE 19966 On Wednesday, April 15th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported structure fire at 26294 Creekwood Circle in the Pot Nets Creekside Development off Long Neck Road. It is believed that this incident occurred as the result of inattentive cooking where an unknown substance ignited while being heated on the kitchen stove and soiled the kitchen cabinetry and ceiling area. Units responding to this incident were initially assigned to coordinate the extinguishment and ascertain extensions. The residential facility sustained damage throughout the structure with minimal fire damage and a smoky condition within the residence. After evaluation and ventilation of the residential structure the situation was turned over to the property owners. The incident is pending investigation and has been turned over to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
