On Wednesday, March 18th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company (Station #80) finalized the transfer of its Ford Crown Victoria Chief’s Vehicle to the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Company (Station #77). This vehicle will continue to function as a Chief’s Vehicle for the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Company to ascertain the feasibility and effectiveness of such incident response vehicle.
Illustrated herewith is Indian River’s Chief (Steven C. Deery, Jr.) turning over the keys and vehicle to Georgetown’s Chief (Penuel Barrett). The vehicle identification number will change from #80-15 to #77-15.
As you may recall, Indian River received this vehicle from Mill Creek Fire Company and has graciously utilized the unit to determine the benefit of such an initial response vehicle during emergency incidents.
