Story
Saturday February, 14 2009 @ 10:19:51 Nature: Electrical Hazard Address: 35807 S Gloucester Cir Millsboro, DE 19966 On Saturday afternoon, February 14th at approximately 10:19 a.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a potential electrical hazard on South Gloucester Circle in the Fairfield development off Long Neck Road. It was reported that a leaking water condition existed and was draining between the floors of the multi-story residential town home community. Apparently, water was coming from the ceiling fan electrical boxes. Emergency response personnel identified that the source was a bathroom on the third floor of the structure; however, the residential sprinkler system was drained to minimize the concern should this leak be from another source. The residential owners were attempting to contact the property managers and would reactivate the fire sprinkler system upon identification of the leaking source. The estimated personnel costs (25 members @ Delaware Minimum Wage Rate plus social security costs) and equipment response costs (flat billing rate as determined by FEMA) for this gas leak incident are estimated to be $321.21 for the incident. The incident response was twenty-five (25) members for 30 minutes in-service
