Saturday February, 7 2009 @ 16:15:01 Nature: Gas Leak Location: behind residential town houses Address: 35810 S Gloucester Cir Millsboro, DE 19966 Gas Leak @ Fairfield On Saturday, February 7th afternoon, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an incident within the residential townhouse development of Fairfield, just off Long Neck Road. This incident involved an underground storage tank purportedly leaking propane. Emergency response personnel quickly identified the source of the propane leak and shut-off the propane at the tank. Emergency response personnel requested the assistance of Schagrin Gas Company which assisted with a temporary resolution until the proper supplier could respond to the incident location. The estimated personnel costs (24 members @ Delaware Minimum Wage Rate plus social security costs) and equipment response costs (flat billing rate as determined by FEMA) for this gas leak incident are estimated to be $499.94 for the incident. The incident response was twenty-four (24) members for 1 hour and 9 minutes in-service
