Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Mount Joy Road, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday, April 4^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Mount Joy Road where there is currently road construction going on.  It was reported to be a two vehicle rear end type collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard area as well as Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck area.  The Delaware State Fire Police, Sussex County Paramedics and local EMS providers were alerted for the incident as well.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization if needed, traffic control, and fluid and debris clean up.

It appears that a tan Town & Country mini-van was struck by a white Scion from the rear.  Both vehicles suffered damaged.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.

One person was transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observations.
