Monday July, 21 2008 @ 22:15:23 Nature: Vehicle Fire Address: 34256 High Tide Drive North, Pot Nets Creekside, Millsboro, DE 19966 Late Monday evening on July 21, 2008 at approximately 10:15 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for working vehicle fire at 34256 High Tide Drive North in Pot Nets Creekside. Apparently, the operator of the vehicle left the vehicle running unattended in the driveway and returned from entering the house to find the vehicle fully involved flames. Our Duty Officer, Steven C. Deery, Jr., Chief, responded to the incident and identified that single vehicle was fully involved in flames with potential exposure concerns to the another vehicle and residential structure as well. Chief Deery ordered the first responding piece of emergency response apparatus initiate two 1 ¾” fire suppression hose line in service to extinguish the incident and protect the exposures. The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating. The incident was placed under control at approximately 10:34 p.m.
