Nature: Structure Fire

Location: Animals In The Residence

27293 Clipper Drive, River Village, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday, December 24^th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a residential structure fire on Clipper Drive in the River Village development off of Oak Orchard Road.  It was reported to be involved with animals located within the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard, Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police, the Sussex County Paramedics and the local emergency medical services provider.

Emergency response personnel assignments included an aggressive fire suppression strategy with primary and secondary searches of the interior structure, water supply, and various other incident mitigation tactics,

It appears that the residential structure suffered significant damage as a result of the incident.  There was a loss of multiple felines and possibly one canine.
