Story
Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce that it has recently installed a radio communication tower, approximately 140 foot, to enhance our operational efficiency at emregency incidents and radio communications in the Oak Orchard – Long Neck communities. This radio communication tower will host our radio communication equipment and various antenna for our radio communication systems, a weather station and other operating items. We are evaluating options to include HAMM Radio Access capability to enhance our overall effectiveness during significant periods of inclement weather. We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the support of the Lewes and Rehoboth Beach fire companies for their assistance with this endeavor. The radio communication tower and equipment will be fully operational effective Monday, September 10, 2007.
