On Saturday, December 23, 2006, at 2:46 a.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival of Captain Eric Ruckle, it was determined to have one vehicle overturned with an occupant in the vehicle that would need to be extricated. Responding fire and rescue apparatus were required to stabilize the vehicle, remove the roof in order to extricate the vehicle's occupant. The occupant was transported to a local medical facility for an additional evaluation. The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident
