On Monday, December 4, 2006, at 3:22 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Rehoboth Beach Fire Company on a reported working structure fire. Arriving Rehoboth Beach units made a quick extinguishment of the bulk of the fire on the first floor. Indian River firefighters were assigned to check for extension into the second floor and provide a Rapid Intervention Team.
