Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Bay Farm Road, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday morning, October 12^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision with reported minor injuries.

Emergency response apparatus from Indian River included Ladder 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assist with patient care if needed, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a silver Jeep SUV and a silver Honda Acord sedan collided for unknown reasons.  All occupants refused any additional medical attention.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident with eastbound traffic being detoured.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
