Story
In January, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company made the decision to enhance is fleet of firefighting vehicles and acquired a ladder truck. Due to the surge of multi-family residences and multi-level structures the Indian River Fire Company realized the need this aerial piece. Since the acquisition of this piece, Indian River firefighters have been required to complete in multiple training requirements. One of the critical classes, which are taught by the Delaware State Fire School, is Ladder Company Operations. Students learned skills in properly setting up an aerial apparatus for usage, proper climbing and descending techniques, master stream operations, and vent entered searches.
