Story
Early Sunday morning of March 26 at approximately 1:24 a.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle accident on Route #24 near the entrance of Sherwood Forest. Upon arrival of our Incident Commander Unit, under the direction of First Assistant Chief Ryan Mock, it was identified that a single vehicle was traveling west on Route #24 and collided with a utility pole. The occupant(s) of the vehicle were gone upon arrival of emergency response personnel. The utility pole was severed at the bottom and needed replacement by the utility provided. Twenty-five firefighters were in-service for sixty-five minutes.
