Story
This past week, as well as many other weeks throughout the year, your volunteers of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company have continued to emphasize and strive to provide our community with the best fire protection and rescue services available. Firefighter Jim Queen received engineer/operator training on Engine 80-5. Second Assistant Chief Jason Faulkner and his father, Don, worked diligently at Station 1 to enhance the corporate uniform storage area. On Wednesday, March 1, 2006, approximately 50 volunteers attended our monthly corporate business meeting. During this meeting, as with all company business meetings, our entire group of dedicated volunteers meet to develop, maintain, and discuss the issues of continuing concern that impede our ability to provide services to the community that we serve. Furthermore, we have a dedicated group of ladies that prepare a meal and refreshments for after every meeting so that the firefighters have a chance to engage in fellowship and camaraderie. However, during this fellowship period, the fire company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle accident near Masseys Landing. As always, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank the community for their diligence, dedication and support throughout the entire year.
