Story
On Friday, February 10, 2006 at approximately 8:15 p.m., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle accident on State Route #5, north of County Road #307 (Friendship Road). It was reported that single vehicle was heavily damaged in a wooded area. It appears that a Chevrolet Cavalier was traveling northbound on State Route #5 and ran off the shoulder of the roadway and over corrected causing the vehicle to skid across the roadway surfaces striking a telephone phone and multiple trees. Twenty-nine firefighters were in-service for 45 minutes under the direction of Chief Steven C. Deery, Jr.
