Nature: Trailer Fire

Location: 23289 Lawrence Lane Lewes, DE 19958

On Thursday morning, August 10^th, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) fire departments were alerted to assist the Rehoboth Beach (86) fire department with a working residential structure fire on Lawrence Lane in the Angola Crest development off of Camp Arrowhead Road.  The preliminary information that was received via the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center was that this was a reported working structure fire with possible occupant entrapment.

Emergency response apparatus from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facilities and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with fire suppression, salvage and recovery, as well as manpower pool protocols. 

Upon arrival of emergency apparatus is was identified as a manufactured residential home with heavy fire and smoke showing.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating.

​An Indian River firefighter did sustain an injury that was later addressed at a nearby medical facility.
