Story
At 4:50 PM on Monday, November 7, we were dispatched to Canvas Back Road in Pot-Nets Bayside for a Medical Assist. Six minutes later, we were dispatched, along with Station 82 - Lewes, to Pine Drive in Mariner's Cove for a fire in a residence. A crew responded to Canvas Back Road, handled the Medical Assist, and returned to Station 2. When 80-10, our Command Unit, arrived at the house fire, it was quickly determined that the fire was confined to a small portion of the front wall. Station 82 was reassigned to cover our Station 2 until we could return. The Pine Drive call is under investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office. Thirty-two Indian River firefighters, under the direction of Incident Commander Eric Ruckle, were in service for one hour and fourteen minutes for these two calls.
