Nature: Vehicle Accident Possibly Serious

Location: 25400-26255 Townsend Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday evening, August 3^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident involving a motorcycle on Townsend Road.  It was reported serious with and additional resources from the Sussex County Paramedics, Delaware State Police Aviation (Trooper #2), and the local emergency medical services provider.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility, Ladder 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident stabilization and scene mitigation.

Upon arrival of emergency response units, it was identified as a scooter incident with minor injuries and all responding apparatus were downgraded based upon the severity of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
