Nature: Vehicle Accident Possibly Serious

Location: Long Neck Rd and School Lane Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday morning, March 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Long Neck Road and School Lane. It was reported to be two vehicles at the time of the dispatching.

Emergency response units from Indian River include Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, and assist with patient stabilization if necessary. All other personnel were assigned to mitigate the incident.

It appears that a maroon Chrysler mini-van and a silver compact sedan collided for an unknown reason.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the traffic patterns on Long Neck Road and School Lane.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
