Nature: Vehicle Accident Possibly Serious

Location: 28116 John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday afternoon, March 7th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway. It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with a roll-over and unknown extent of injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Additional resources included the local emergency services provider, the Delaware Department of Transportation and the Delaware State Police.

Emergency response unit activities included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation activities.

It appears that a white sub-compact vehicle was traveling westbound on John J. Williams Highway when it collided with the red Toyota pick up.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
