Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 26478 Jersey Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday, February 6th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Millsboro Fire Company with a working structure fire on Jersey Road. It was reported to be actual flames and fire showing from the exterior of the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility. The Delaware State Fire Police also responded and assisted with traffic control.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with fire suppression, extension evaluation methods, and manpower pool assignments.

The arrival of the Millsboro Fire Company allowed for a quick detection and knock-down.

There were not any injuries or significant structure damage.
