Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Phillips Branch Rd and Indian Mission Road, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday evening, December 29th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road near Phillips Branch Road. It was reported to be a two vehicle collision.

Emergency response vehicles from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignment included vehicle stabilization, scene mitigation, assist with patient stabilization if needed and traffic control.

It appears that white Ford F150 work truck was traveling on Indian Mission Road and was struck from behind by a green Ford Ranger pick up also traveling on Indian Mission Road. The collision caused extensive damage to both vehicles and blocked the normal traffic patterns for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
