Nature: Legislators' Annual Oak Orchard Public Forum – Flooding

City: Oak Orchard, Sussex County, Delaware

 

On Monday evening, October 24th, Senator Gerald Hocker, Delaware State Senate and Representative Ruth Briggs-King, Delaware House of Representatives hosed their Annual Legislator Public Forum to discuss flooding issues in Oak Orchard-Riverdale. This event was also attended by representatives from the Delaware Department of Transportation (DELDOT), and the Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control (DNREC), to assist with the publications and informational session.

The event was attended by approximately 80 people from the immediate community concerned with these flooding concerns. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hosted this meeting as a public service activity for the immediate community.
