Nature: Delaware Housing Manufactured Housing Workshop

Location: Station #1 – Oak Orchard

On Monday evening, October 17th, the Delaware Attorney General’s Office presented a Manufactured Housing Workshop at the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in Oak Orchard. This event was intended to provide information and offer discussions regarding your rights and responsibilities as a resident or owner of a manufactured home community.

Additional topics included the following:

(1) Assistance with navigating Delaware’s Manufactured Home Law (Title 25, Chapter 70);

(2) Filing a complaint with the Attorney General’s Office, Consumer Protection Unit or other appropriate agencies; and

(3) Question and Answer Opportunities with representatives from the Delaware State Police – Community Policing, DNREC, Delaware Manufactured Home Relocation Authority, County Inspection and Code Enforcement Officials, Delaware Health & Social Services – Office of Drinking Water, and local Representatives from the Delaware House of Representatives.

The Honorable State Representative Ruth Briggs-Kings, 37th District and Richard Collins, 41st District were in attendance and offered various commentary to assist and answer questions tendered by the audience.
