Friday, July 22, 2016 Delaware General Assembly House Bill 406 Signed On Friday, July 22, 2016 Delaware’s Honorable Governor Jack Markell signed House Bill 406 into law at the Rehoboth Beach Fire Station with members of the Fire Service and State Legislature on hand to witness the event. This legislative initiative establishes that the criminal background fees within the State of Delaware will now be borne by the State for new volunteers who desire to join local Fire Companies throughout the State. This is a significant benefit to the volunteer firefighter recruitment effort.
