On Wednesday morning, April 20th, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) fire companies were alerted to assist Rehoboth Beach (86) with a working structure fire on G Street off of Old Landing Road.  This was reported to be a working alarm with exposures.


Emergency response units from Indian River included at least Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility. 


As the fire progressed, with propane tanks beleved and fire spread to nearby woods, marsh, and other exposures.  Multiple companies throughout the county were dispatched to offer assistance and cover up assignments as was the Sussex County Mobile Command unit.


In many instances, the following companies assisted with the incident:  70 – Bethany Beach, 90 – Roxana, 85 – Milton, 89 – Memorial, 75 – Ellendale, 81 – Laurel, 83 – Millsboro, 73 – Dagsboro, 76 - Frankford  and many others.
