Nature: Odor Investigation

On Thursday, January 28th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an odor investigation at the Trading Post Shopping Center on John J. Williams Highway. It was reported to be a strong burning odor at or near the entrance of the La Guadalupana Mexican Store.

Emergency response units included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility and Ladder 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews were assigned to locate the source of the odor and searched the interior, exterior, and roofing areas of the facility. Ladder 80 was utilized to gain access to the top of the facilities.
