On Sunday morning, January 24th, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) volunteer fire companies were alerted to assist Rehoboth Beach (86) with a working structure fire on Marina Drive East in the Angola By-the-Bay. Emergency response units from Indian River included: Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Emergency response crews were assigned to coordinate charging the 5” lines for water supply purposes. All remaining resources reported to the manpower pools for assignments. The Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating.
