Nature: House Fire

Location: 47 Pennsylvania Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971

On Tuesday afternoon, January 19th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), Bethany Beach (70) and Millville (84) fire companies were alerted to the assist Rehoboth Beach on a working residential structure fire on Pennsylvania in Rehoboth Beach.

Indian River's initial dispatch was for a single engine stand-by cover up assignment which was ultimately upgraded to a response to the scene. Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3.

Initial arriving emergency response personnel reported heavy fire showing.

Emergency response crews were impacted by the wind and cold weather conditions as they pursued mitigation services for fire suppression.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
