Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy & Hol Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday afternoon, September 25th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Holly Mount Road. It was reported to be a two vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assist with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control and overall scene mitigation.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control as the east and west bound traffic along John J. Williams Highway was restricted for the duration of the incident.

It appears that a black Toyota 4 door sedan was traveling east and collided with a westbound Honda CRV. Both vehicles incurred significant damage during the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
